Kaleidoscope Hole

Project Mission & Description

Kaleidoscope Hole is a conceptual, life-size, interactive kaleidoscope made of 3 rotatable, metal rings (8x8ft, 6x6ft, 4x4ft) that form a kaleidoscopic tunnel pointed at the man. Lit by LEDs at night, it engages us into a collaborative unique psychedelic journey with it and with other citizens.

Each ring is illuminated by multicolored LEDs, paired with sensors and a movement tracking system. As people approach the rings within a certain number of feet, it will sense them and awaken the LEDs. It will light up even more when someone is touching or spinning the ring.
